Why did Overture get rewritten & does it matter which version I have?
Being my first official project, the original edition released in 2014/2015 had many issues. I always planned to update it, which is why it was removed not too long after becoming available. However, I'm aware that someone has since uploaded it to other hosting sites (without my permission). That version should be considered a very harsh rough draft - I would prefer to never be seen again.
If you have the old version, please update to the new release.
It's been shortened in length for a more cohesive read, some story segments have been removed, grammar bits have been fixed, and the technology has been updated to match the times (example: the use of dated iPods and taxis have been scratched). The main storyline, the scenes, and the settings remain the same, but the whole thing has been reworked.
Why was there such a big time gap between the release of Overture and Duet?
Why the 9-year long gap? At first, I was in an accident that delayed the completion of Duet for some time. I also knew I didn't want to release Duet without fixing Overture. Long story short, life got in the way.
What are you currently working on?
Skylights & the first of the Grim Heart Series. Skylights is a sort of sister to Overture - they were both developed at the same time & shared similar themes, only they went in completely different directions. Skylights is much softer in every regard.
